ABOUT ME

Being a competitive gymnast for eight years, I quickly learned how easy it is to get swept up into being fully committed to sport. For most of my life, gymnastics was a part of every single thing I did and I didn’t really know what to do once I stopped competing. I began CrossFit hoping to find a new sport to fall in love with, and believe me, I did!  CrossFit has pushed me so far out of my comfort zone (actually touching a barbell) while still allowing me to use some familiar aspects of gymnastics.

I began coaching gymnastics as soon as I was old enough because I want to be able to provide young athletes with opportunities, skills and passion just like my coaches did for me.  I currently coach pre-competitive boys which has been such a great way to stay connected with gymnastics despite retiring once I began studying Geography and Environmental Management at the University of Waterloo.  I love that I’m able to give back to give back to my sport communities through coaching because I hugely appreciate what my coaches have done for me. It is amazing that I can now do the same for other athletes.
