ABOUT ME 

 

Certifications/Credentials:

  • CrossFit Level 1

  • BSc. Kinesiology, University of Waterloo

  • 10+ years coaching CrossFit

  • Peer Fitness Trainer, IAFF

  • Experience in corporate fitness and wellness, physiotherapy clinics, group fitness and gymnastics​

 

Fitness has always been a part of me. From a young age, I competed as a provincial level gymnast where I found my passion for sport and competition. When I left gymnastics at the age of 18, I missed the sense of community and accomplishment that the sport brought me. I tried big box gyms and joined sports teams however nothing felt right and I found it so hard to be consistent. When I found CrossFit in my mid twenties, I felt like it was exactly where I belonged and I really looked forward to going each day. Seeing people of all ages and fitness levels working together and supporting each other was my favourite thing about the sport. The nature of the way we train translates to so many things in life. It truly keeps you fit and prepared for anything. I have always enjoyed coaching others, sharing my passion for the sport and helping others achieve their goals, progress their skills and get fit ! 

 

I have competed in too many CrossFit Opens to count and also enjoy hitting up local competitions, especially when I get to compete alongside my partner, Riley.  I found an even deeper appreciation for the sport when I was fortunate enough to be able to do modified CrossFit workouts all throughout my pregnancy  in 2022. I saw the value that CrossFit was able to offer both for my physical and mental health. In the near future, I aspire to share the sport with my son, modelling a healthy and active lifestyle through CrossFit, running, biking and nutrition.

"Hollyman" or anything with running.

My Least Favorite WOD:

Thrusters.
